Alisha Camacho

Science Communicator

Alisha supports RESPIRAR by leading project communications and producing products for stakeholders and participants.

She initially joined the team as a graduate student while pursuing her master’s in journalism at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill School of Journalism.

Before returning to school, Alisha spent nearly ten years working on local environmental equity initiatives in the Washington, D.C., area at the intersection of communications, multimedia production, and education. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and geography at The George Washington University in 2013.
