Chrissy Bartiz, PA-C, MMS, was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Her commitment to providing medical care for migrant workers drives her work and guidance as an advisor for the RESPIRAR project.

Chrissy is the Director of Community-Based Programs for Choptank Community Health System (CCHS) , a private, non-profit community health center focused on providing primary medical and dental health on the Eastern Shore. She oversees the health center's migrant health program, which provides medical care for migrant patients — including throughout the pandemic.

Her program oversees and provides clinical support to the school-based, migrant, and mobile health service teams, ensuring that underserved populations receive access to exceptional, comprehensive, and integrated health care.

Chrissy earned her master's in medical science from St. Francis University in 2003, marking the beginning of a career driven by a passion for community-based medicine. Specializing in adolescent and pediatric care, Chrissy has dedicated most of her 20+ years in healthcare to the school-based and public health sectors. She spent the first decade of her career coordinating a public health-funded School-Based Health Center (SBHC) in Delaware.

Chrissy is a member of Caroline County Public School's Board of Education, the state's Council on the Advancement of School-Based Health Centers (CASBHC), and the Maryland Assembly on School-Based Health Care (MASBHC).
