Abas Shkembi

Research Analyst

Abas is an industrial hygienist, environmental epidemiologist, and statistician. Interested in how occupational, environmental, and social stressors contribute to environmental health disparities, he aims to bridge the fields of environmental and occupational health to help close these gaps.

The RESPIRAR Project sits at the intersection of Abas’s interests. He supports the project by analyzing field data collected by the team.

Abas earned a B.S. in Statistics from the University of Michigan in 2020, followed by an M.S. in Industrial Hygiene in 2023 from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He is now a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, expected to graduate in 2027.
